A moment is applied to the wheel at its axis so that wheel rotates. The most common use pf the wheel is in transport. Ship wheel, steering wheel and flywheel are also the examples of the wheels. Wheel actually means to revolve or move about the objects. Wheel is thought to be the most important and oldest invention.
The first use of the wheel was found to be in the 5th millennium in Mesopotamia. Then this invention move t the other parts of the world. It was known to the people of Europe and Asia. The earliest form of the heel was very simple with a hole in the center for its axis and these were made with wood. Wheels are widely used for the efficient movement of an object across the surface. Wheel is used in any form of transportation from a simple cart to the aero plane and rails. Axle is the main moving body of the wheels.
Earlier wheels were made up with woods but now iron wheels and other metal wheels are used. Wheel can not rotate without axle. The use of the wheel is everywhere and wheel is the part of every machine. Wheel itself is known to be the first ever machine and it is thought that it formed the basis of all other inventions. The most common use of the wheel is in the vehicles and without wheel no vehicle can move. Wheel is the symbol of motion. Wheels have facilitated every individual and it has made things much simpler and faster. It has helped us in doing many things very quickly. The current progress in the world would not be possible without wheels.
