The general meaning of the oversize is over weight. If someone exceeds the normal legal size then it falls in the category of oversize. There are some weight and load per axle limits defined and normal size falls in the limits. If the load exceeds with per axle limits but not the weight limits then it is not the oversize. There are variations of defining the oversize about the standard size and it is different in different countries. But there is only difference in definition and it is not a big difference in oversize.

In order to remain in normal and not exceed the oversize, specific roads are built in many countries which allow the vehicle to run within the limits. Large vehicles are not allowed to run on these as the large vehicle may fall in the category of oversize. These large may be oversize in height, width and length limits. There are some standards defined and exceeding these standards will become oversize. If any thing or a vehicles is higher than 13′ 6″, wider than 8′ 6″ then it is oversize.

In Europe, the vehicles when exceeding with the load or weight more than 40 tones, height above 4 meters and length 15 m, then this will become oversize. There can be examples of oversize taken from many filed like construction. Cranes, front loaders and backhoes are used to carry the oversize object in the construction. The oversize loads can not be reduced easily. To divide the oversize objects into smaller portion is a difficult task. These oversize objects are in use in different ways. Although these oversize objects are difficult to handle but they are providing many benefits to us. There are plenty of things we can do with these oversize objects and we can get many advantages with these.
